03/04/2020 From April 3th to 5th, 2020, the CRAN will host the 16th edition of the LALS International Conference "Laser Applications in Life Sciences" at ENSIC (Nancy).
This event is intended to be a meeting point for industrialists, clinicians and researchers specialising in Biomedical Optics and Biophotonics from all over the world. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss many topics: nanobiophotonics, imaging (diffuse optics, OCT, microscopy, speckle contrast imaging, etc.) and image processing, clinical transfer including cancer, modelling photon propagation in biological tissues, terahertz, etc.
About ten companies will participate in LALS2020 to present their latest innovations: Becker & Hickl, Oxxius, Optoprim, Frankfurt Laser Company, NKT Photonics, Damae Medical, SD Innovation, Fujifilm, Hamamatsu.
Co-opted by several international (SPIE, OSA) and national scholarly societies (Société Francophone de Photonique médicale - SFPMed, Société Française de Dermatologie - SFD, Société Française d'Optique - SFO and others in the decision-making process), speakers from all over the world will participate in this major conference: the preliminary programme, available on the LALS2020 website, currently includes 91% of foreign speakers: Chinese, Americans, Russians, Israelis, Canadians, Indians, Lithuanians, Italians, etc.
Organized over 3 days, the program will be punctuated by a poster and industrial session and four plenary conferences proposed by prestigious speakers:
- Claude Boccara, ESPCI Paris: "Static and dynamic full field oct: from tissues to cells"
- Sergio Fantini, Tufts University, USA: "Quantitative studies of cerebral hemodynamics with near-infrared spectroscopy"
- Jürgen Popp, Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology Jena, Germany: "Photonics for medical diagnosis and therapy".
- Elena Zagaynova, Privolzhsky Research Medical University: "FLIM metabolic imaging from cells to patients"
